About Us
High Intensity Bike Shop was opened in 2004 as North Haverhill Inn and Bike Shop. The owner, Tom Bourassa has been riding bikes since he started walking. He is a former pro-cyclist, racing BMX, Downhill and CAT2 Road. With his many years of riding, racing and wrenching, his knowledge and experience in bicycles and all things related is immense. With the growth of the bicycle business, the Inn was closed and the shop renamed. We felt that High Intensity Bike Shop reflected our general attitude towards work and play. Every one who works at the shop is passionate about riding whether its mountain biking, road riding, downhill/freeriding, cyclocross, single-speeding, or dirt jumping. We ride before and after work (sometimes during) before the sun rises and after it sets. The weather in northern New England doesn't stop us from riding year round. Someone here is out riding just about every day of the year. The riding options in the area are excellent. We are 45 minutes away from the Kingdom Trail network just north of us in East Burke, VT and even closer to the trails at Millstone in Barre, VT. Also in reasonable driving distance are amazing trails in the Waterbury/Stowe area in VT. The road riding here is on par with our off-road options. We are located only a few miles from the far east end of the Kancamangus highway (Route 112-NH). New Hampshire routes 116 and 118 are both frequently ridden by shop employees and our patrons. Downhill/Freeride options include Highlands bike park, Killington, Attitash, and Sugarbush.
If you find yourself in our area please feel free to give us a call or attend a group ride with us. Hope you have a great riding season and we hope to hear from you soon.
We are now open 6 days a week! Please see our retail store page for current store hours.
